Hello There!

I am Alex and I am originally from Oak Harbor, Washington.  When I was 8 my family moved to Michigan and I have been here ever since.  I graduated from MSU in 2013 with a Bachelors in Media Arts and Technology.   I specialized in 3d modeling and animation.  

I started getting interested in cinematography and video editing a while ago. 

At first I tapped into the video world be creating game play videos of myself playing Airsoft.  I have a YouTube channel called Batbear Airsoft, that features all sorts of epic game plays at Future Ball Airsoft/Paintball Field.  

Next step for me was making travel videos. My wife and I love traveling!  We have traveled all over the US and overseas. She always took million pictures, which was very cool to watch afterwards to relive the moments we cherish.  But I always felt like watching a cinematic video is way more emotional than seeing a still photo.  Which gave me the idea to try and film our travels.  But, not just film like I used to, making quick videos on my phone, but actually make a cinematic piece of art that tells the story of our trip.  Which evokes emotions and inspires people to travel when we share our stories with the world. We have a Travel Channel on YouTube as well, called “Traveling with Grecas”. It is quite new, but slowly filling up with great content.

These travel videos really pushed me to learn more about cinematography. I still have a lot to learn, but I absolutely love the whole process of creating a cinematic video. From planning out the shots, being on set, to editing. And of course now that I have a pleasure working with so many interesting people and tell their unique stories there is nothing more exciting then create a piece of work that they will cherish for the rest of their lives.

Anastasiia:

I always try to stay active by working out, going for a jog or practicing martial arts.

I also enjoy acting and modeling which actually helps me a lot during photoshoots because it allows me to better direct people and help them with posing and finding good angles as well as keeping them engaged and not be afraid of the camera. And the times when I work with aspiring models or actors, I always share all the tips I know on how to make it in this tough industry and above all, how to stay safe.

Occasionally I go out with my husband to play Airsoft. And in winter we go out snowboarding all over MI hills. I love reading and watching movies. I’m a big nerd! Love Harry Potter, Lord of the rings, Marvel Movies, Star Wars and many more.  
And of course we are very big on traveling and exploring new unique places. 
I'd say we do everything we can to make our life spontaneous and adventerous.

Alex:

My biggest hobby by far is airsoft.  I go out to the field every chance I get.  It is a lot of fun, as well as some good exercise.  One of the best parts about playing is that most of my family also comes out to play occasionally.  Its great to have some family time, as well as getting to shoot at each other with BBs. 
Some of my other hobbies are skiing, snowboarding, playing video games and of course traveling .
Like my wife, I am also very into Harry Potter.  I am a Ravenclaw, but fortunately/unfortunately I look very much like Harry Potter in my full Harry’s attire, therefore I mostly wear Gryffindor colors whenever we go to a Comic-con or some other place where people like to stop me to take a photo with Harry Potter lol
Just as my wife I also love Lord of the Rings, action films, but also I enjoy watching 90’s cartoons and Horror films.
